Under Dawn Buckingham’s leadership, the Texas General Land Office is delivering disaster recovery assistance at a record pace – cutting through bureaucratic delays, rebuilding thousands of homes and helping Texans get back on their feet.

In her first term, Dawn completed the Hurricane Harvey homeowner recovery mission, which rebuilt 8,750 homes and helped more than 13,500 families, while delivering more than $3.7 billion in disaster recovery and flood mitigation funding.

After a hurricane…after a flood…after a storm that takes everything, Texas families do not need promises. They need help, and they need it now.

Flood mitigation. Infrastructure rebuilding. Housing recovery. The GLO is on the ground in communities across Texas, not just during the disaster, but in the months and years of rebuilding that follow.

Dawn Buckingham knows that when government says it will help, it has to actually do it. Her record proves she means it.

  • 8,750 Hurricane Harvey damaged homes rebuilt
